STEEL GIRTH FLANGES TRADER

Girth Flanges. Girth flanges are used for mating two segments of a pressure vessel.
These parts are also widely used in shell and tube heat exchangers and other process equipment to mate various components.
There are two common kinds of girth flange such as welded hub joint, loose type (without hub).
Girth flanges are found in shell & tube exchangers for the shell and channel barrels.

Blind Flanges are used to blank off the ends of piping, valves and pressure vessel opening.

From the standpoint of internal pressure and bolt loading, blind flanges, particularly in the larger sizes, are the most highly stressed of all flange types; however, since the maximum stresses in a blind flange are bending stresses at the center, they can safely be permitted to be higher than in other types of flanges.

Weld Neck Flange consists of a circular fitting with a protruding rim around the circumference. Generally machined from a forging, these flanges are typically butt welded to a pipe. The rim has a series of drilled holes that permit the flange to be affixed to another flange with bolts.
